Students at three colleges at the University of California San Diego are competing to save the most energy. The Energy Saving Competition hopes to give energy-saving a boost on campus. Although the program is funded by the Alliance to Save Energy, a nonprofit public-policy organization, students themselves campaign and strategize their schools’ energy-reduction measures.
