Lake Forest senior Syed Karim is responsible for what may be the coolest search engine EVER. (Well, in the long and glorious history of search engines, anyway). Karim, with the help of Shannon Green and Ramadev Hukkeri, started the search engine Search Kindly. The engine uses google technology—this thing you may have heard of—but donates all advertising revenue directly to charity. Just in case you missed that, let us say that again: by (google) searching through this website you get money to charity at no cost to yourself. Karim, who started the site out of curiosity as to whether people would be altruistic if it cost them nothing, asks that people who don’t want to use the site please let him know why. Please let us know why as well—we got nothin’.
