Solidarity with Oaxaca

Hoping to raise awareness about the ongoing conflict in the Mexican state of Oaxaca, Vassar College’s MEChA (Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano/a de Aztlán) held a day of solidarity that included a march and discussion. The Zapatista Army of National Liberation (EZLN) called for the international day of solidarity after three Oaxacans were killed by the Mexican military on October 29. Many other Oaxacan citizens were reportedly injured, missing or detained.
