Students at Swat Sudan (Swarthmore’s Darfur action group) are expecting to host 150 students for an anti-genocide conference this weekend.  The conference will host students from mid-Atlantic states who are active with, or interested in, efforts to stop the genocide in Darfur (a region of the Sudan in Africa). The conference, which is called the “STAND Time to Protect Conference,” is a joint effort of Swat Sudan, STAND, and the Genocide Intervention Network. (And yes, if you’re keeping track—Swarthmore totally won today’s gold star.)
