Standardized Testing Proposed for Undergraduates

The U.S. Department of Education is discussing the possibility of standardized testing for undergraduates as a way of measuring what college students learn. Proponents also suggest standardized testing (like the SAT and GRE) would help to hold institutions accountable for their actions and educational success. Critics suggest that any empirical assessment of higher education is problematic.
