State Capitol Visits Continue

Date: 11/17/2008 05:28 pm

Students are part of a hundred-person delegation from NYU to Albany, where students, faculty, and administrators will lobby on behalf of the state’s financial aid programs. Forty-five Washington State University students traveled to Olympia for “Coug Day at the Capitol,” a day designed to teach students about the legislative process by helping them to participate in it. In California, over 250 students rallied on their capitol steps after two hours of meetings with state legislators. The meetings and rally (with press conference) followed a weeklong conference, held by the University of California Students Association, designed to prepare students for the day.
