Student Council Prioritizes Affordable Textbooks

The University of Virginia’s Student Life Committee recently presented a piece of legislation to the Student Council encouraging faculty to support the university bookstore's buyback and rental programs, which could allow students to purchase their textbooks for a reduced price. If passed, the legislation would urge professors to use the same textbooks for multiple semesters and to cooperate with the bookstore's cost-reduction efforts.
