Date: 11/17/2008 05:28 pm
The Howard 10,000 Girls Initiative is holding a fundraising week in order to raise money to educate underprivileged Senegalese women and girls. Students at Spelman, Morehouse, and Clark Atlanta (all historically black colleges) are also participating in the initiative. The group hopes to raise $10,000 for the cause. Jennifer Bryant, Howard’s 10,000 Girls chair, encourages students to think of themselves as potential benefactors for the less privileged world.
