Student Promotes Sexual Health

Last spring Theresa Schwanke, a junior at Cornell, co-founded the Society for HPV Education and Prevention (SHEP) to educate Cornell women about the Human papillomavirus, a diverse group of viruses that may cause cervical cancer and genital warts in women. SHEP is planning a daytime spa event with arts and crafts, manicures, hand massages, and other activities for women to participate in while learning about HPV.
