Students at Stanford Create Nonprofit Organization

Several students at Stanford University have created a nonprofit organization to “help facilitate the transfer of free medication from drug manufacturers to consumers.”  SIRUM (Supporting Initiatives for the Redistribution of Unused Medicine) hopes to link pharmaceutical companies and other donors to free clinics. Students were inspired to start the organization in response to the devastating tsunami that struck Indonesia two years ago.
