Students Bring Arab Organization to Northwestern

The Arab League is an organization similar to the United Nations, through which Arab states meet to discuss policy. After a semester studying abroad in Cairo last fall, two students were inspired to start a chapter of the Model Arab League at Northwestern as a channel for their continued interest in the Middle East. Mike Schoengold and Joe Shields are now in the process of putting together an Arab League Conference with other schools; the conference would work much like Model UN, with various schools representing different Arab states.
