Last week was national Coming Out Week, and students across
the country used the opportunity to educate, celebrate, and advocate. Most campuses hosted events or forums where
students shared their coming out stories.
Others got creative with a variety of events, including a drag show at Binghamton, an event of straight allies at Iowa State,
and a protest over administration policy at Georgetown.
The Arizona State Webdevil profiled a student who used the day to come
out to family and friends using email text-messaging and MySpace.
