Students Commemorate the Victims of War
Date: 11/17/2008 05:28 pm
Boston College students have begun a series of vigils for the casualties of the ongoing Iraq war. About 20 students participated in the inaugural vigil, standing in silence for 10 minutes while holding pictures of individual victims of the war. The event organizer, Jon Sege, says more events will be held as the semester progresses. In California, a UC Davis sophomore will host an anti-war protest on campus next week. Maximilian Mikalonis "hope[s] to make students and community members more aware of the human toll of the Iraq War."
