Spirited debate broke out at a University of Buffalo “Anti-War Action”-sponsored event when two Iraq veterans stepped up from the crowd to take the place of the keynote speaker, a member of Iraq Veterans Against the war, who did not arrive. Their message sparked debate among group members, attendees, and veterans. Students at Texas A & M University protested the Iraq War as White House Press Secretary Tony Snow gave a guest lecture. Representatives from several of Macalester College’s student groups have been meeting regularly since February 20th in order to plan their involvement in the nationwide protests planned for March 20th (the date that marks the start of the aerial campaign on Iraq).
