Students Give Back
Students in a group discussion class at Texas Christian University made a video and delivered a presentation to encourage other students to get involved with the M.A.T.C.H. Program, which provides mentors to children whose parents are incarcerated. A fire at a homeless shelter near Duke University caused students to band together to replenish the shelter's food pantry with canned and dry goods; the Edens Quadrangle Council is running a food drive to help with efforts. Students turned out in droves at Colorado State University's CSUnity event, where students spent the day volunteering in various capacities. Volunteer opportunities included farm work, beekeeping, and anything else people asked for.
