Students Protest Choice of Speaker

The College Democrats at St. Mary's College protested their administration's choice of Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito as commencement speaker, saying the choice is polarizing and does not represent the student body's identity. Three students wrote an official letter to members of their administration and collected signatures in support of it. St. Mary’s, Notre Dame University’s sister school, is a private women’s college.
