Students Protest the War
Hundreds of thousands of people gathered Saturday in Washington D.C. to protest the Iraq War, and local protests were held in cities and towns across the nation. Students participated in both the D.C. actions and local protests, as a small sampling of articles shows. From American University, 30 students participated in the march on the capitol as “Radical Cheerleaders.” Thirty students traveled to the protest form Notre Dame as well, and 100 went from the University of Maryland. Twelve students traveled all the way from Minnesota to attend. But students weren’t noticeable everywhere, and articles from Boston University and Yale are wondering what’s up.
