Students lent their support to a bill in the New Hampshire legislature that would legalize marijuana for medicinal purposes. The UNH Chapter of Students for Sensible Drug Policy held a screening and discussion of "Waiting to Inhale” for 100 students in hopes of inspiring students to speak out in support of HB 648, the state’s medical marijuana bill. During the event, students also held a discussion with the bill’s sponsor, Rep. Trinka Russell of Rockingham County. The bill has now passed both chambers of the New Hampshire legislature, though in different forms. It will now have to go back to the House before reaching the Governor’s desk.
