Students at Pennsylvania State University organized the "Target 10 Challenge,” aimed at drawing 10,000 students to a recent men’s basketball game against Ohio State University and donate all the proceeds from ticket purchases to Dance Marathon, a charity to help children with cancer. Although they did not reach their goal, a decision was made Friday to donate all student-generated proceeds from a different game against Michigan State instead. Approximately1,529 student tickets were sold for the game, and students raised $7,645. At the University of Iowa students raised a record $1 million for Dance Marathon, drawing hundreds from the campus and community to participate.
