In remembrance of Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., Students Organizing Against Racism led tours along Brandeis' freedom trail. The tours included of six locations where students acted out for change on campus and around the world. Tour guides emphasized students’ successes pushing for reform while also reminding their audiences of the changes still to be made. Elsewhere, students at Iowa State are holding campus events to commemorate Dr. King’s commitment to equality and desegregation. Events include an assembly with music and speakers, including several students. Student speakers interviewed said they hope to speak to the relevance of Dr. King’s message on college campuses today.
