The story of the Jena 6, which has been spreading across campuses through word of mouth, blogs and Facebook, burst into national prominence this week with a march in Jena and rallies on campus across the country.  The case of racial conflict and injustice in a small southern town is reminiscent of the civil rights era – as is the student response.  Students traveled from hundreds of miles away to join the march in Jena and gathered by the hundreds on college campuses.
