Students Take Initiative On Recycling

BU Green, a recently formed Boston University environmental conservation group, handed out literature on increasing sustainability and encouraged students to recycle in the dorms. The group is kicking off a competition between residence halls to see who can supply the most recyclables. Another BU student group, the BU Waste Reduction Team, has submitted to administrators a proposal for revamping the school’s recycling program. BU’s current recycling system has been criticized as inefficient.
