Students Work for Those Affected By the War
Date: 11/17/2008 05:28 pm
At Indiana University, students with the College Republicans and College Democrats came together to take part in Operation Iraqi Children, a national effort to help soldiers and children. In a booth with pizza and soft drinks, students accepted $2 donations and supplies for children. Besides donating care packages and money, students could also write postcards to troops to help their morale. Students from several student organizations at the University of Georgia held a protest to peacefully demonstrate against the War in Iraq, which drew community support. The march ended in a rally where protesters discussed the negative aspects of the war.
