Students are working to raise awareness of abuse. Kendrick Sledge, a Boston University student, is working with the organization Love Is Not Abuse to educate high school students, teachers, and administrators about physical abuse in teen relationships. Students at the University of Kentucky have brought the Clothesline Project, a visual violence-awareness project, to their school. Women’s Place of the University of Kentucky is largely responsible for bringing the exhibit, which consists of shirts decorated by the survivors of various forms of abuse and by the friends and families of those who didn’t survive.
