Students at Binghamton University are collaborating with local organizations to combat brain drain and encourage students to stay in the area when they graduate. Catalysts for Intellectual Capital 20/20, a student group focused on combating brain drain has sponsored a Career Partnership Program to help students connect to the greater Binghamton community in the hopes of keeping students in the area after graduation. One of the places students could end up: a local hospital that plans to create over 400 new employee positions in the coming year, many of which are intended for graduating seniors.
