Sunlight for SUNY

Although it’s not the first time a student government
officer has misused funds (and, sadly, we’ll bet cash money that it won’t be
the last), the latest scandal from SUNY Buffalo has drawn a well-considered
article from The Spectrum, UB’s
student newspaper.
And while the editorial offers some pearls of wisdom about
scandals and regulations generally, it also is wise enough to suggest the
problem my have some roots in those not-so-contested student elections and the
humdrum student attitudes that follow.
