Texas to Vote on College Affordability Measures

A bill that would make textbooks purchased by students in the state of Texas tax-free passed in the finance committee, and will face a vote in the Texas Senate later this week. In other legislative news, the Texas Legislature is also considering a bill that would freeze an incoming student's tuition rate and mandatory fees for four years at the rate the University set at the point the student first entered.
