The Humanitarian Response

The Bowdoin Student Government
(which shares an acronym with everyone’s favorite geek-out, Battle Star
Galactica) has decided unanimously to encourage the formation a new Community
Response Committee. The committee will be charged with considering the
College’s response to humanitarian crises around the world, including (but not
limited to) the possible redirection of College funds. The development of
collegiate response committees has been something of a trend in recent years,
generally with the result of increasing student activism.
