Beginning with a commendable exploration of student activism in the ongoing Gulf Coast crisis, the author of this editorial goes on to consider the less impressive insertion of Goucher College’s student body into the myriad needs of Baltimore. He also proposes and adopts one possible solution—namely, a run for student government. While we don’t know enough about the student body of Goucher to say whether he’s on the money, we do appreciate the consideration of whether some of that great Gulf Coast action doesn’t also have a place a little closer to home.
