University of Minnesota alumnus Tony Dungy (the Superbowl-winning coach) will speak at his alma mater at the Annual Alumni Celebration, but some students aren't happy with the choice of speaker. Some students say Dungy’s actions against homosexuality and gay marriage are offensive. The students are circulating a petition and plan to sit outside the event and silently protest. In separate but related news, Queer Pride Week at the University of California Santa Barbara culminated in Queer Wedding, an event in which couples exchanged vows and received rings, certificates, photographs, and flowers as mock-wedding gifts.
