Students at Bates College will receive grant funding for a plan they devised to replenish some of the trees destroyed in the implementation of the school's current building project. The interdisciplinary grant funding for the students’ project (which has environmental, educational and artistic aspects) will pay for the planting of 10 trees and a variety of perennials this spring, forming a small orchard.
