Troubled Election Entrance for Divinity Students

Despite the General Election Commissioner’s assurances that signs were posted well in advance, Howard University’s divinity students seem to have been woefully under informed about the candidate application deadline. At least two divinity students were denied entry to the HUSA elections due to late applications, although grievances are now being accepted. At least one of the students in question believes that exceptions should be given in cases where lateness is due to poor advertising. Both of the denied students say they had only a day to collect the signatures of 5 percent of their Howard Divinity peers.
