Tulsa’s Student Senate Goes Green
Date: 11/17/2008 05:28 pm
The University of Tulsa’s Student Association Senate has passed a resolution calling for their administration to form a sustainability committee. Specifically, the resolution recommends a committee made up of: a TU administrator, a faculty member, an SA senator, an SA cabinet member, an environmental expert from the Metropolitan Environmental Trust (MET) and a student from a campus environmental group. A sustainability committee would examine and recommend changes to make the campus more environmentally neutral, ranging from small waste and energy reduction projects (like replacing shower heads and faucets with low-flow fixtures) to large ones (like installing solar panels on campus).
