University Diverts Funds Away From Sudanese

The University of Massachusetts has directed the managers of its funds to dissociate the University from connections to the Sudanese government. American policy has held that the government of Sudan is guilty of ongoing genocide, and the U.S. government has issued economic sanctions. The Investment Committee of the University of Massachusetts Foundation referred to the Sudan Divestment Task Force list of companies involved with the government in redefining the University’s policy surrounding Sudan.
