Utah college students are working to increase the number of voting stations on campuses, arguing it will increase voter turnout across the state. Andrew Jensen, executive director of the Utah Student association argued that although the voting turnout in Utah is high, the population of student voters can be increased if more booths are stationed around Utah campuses. On Friday, Jensen plans to make a pitch to the Governor’s Commission on Strengthening Utah’s Democracy in Cedar City to rally funds for additional booths that he hopes will spur greater voter turnouts.
