V-Week
Many women’s advocacy groups hold V-Week events on or around Valentine’s Day, using “V” to stand for victory, violence, vagina, etc. In what is likely to be the last mention of vaginas until next year, the Trinity Tripod reports that Trin’s V-Day performance of Eve Enser’s Vagina Monologues was quite successful. The Women and Gender Resource Action Center, Feminists United, Trinity College Black Women’s Organization, the Sexual Assault Response Team, the Sexual Assault Task Force, and Zeta Omega Eta sponsored the performance. The Northeastern News also carried V-Day coverage, focused instead on efforts to stem an increase in (reported) domestic violence cases at Northeastern.
