If you’ve spent J-term with refugee children, put your hands in the air! Ok, we know you probably haven’t, but doesn’t it sound good? This January, thirteen students and staff from the University of San Diego will travel to Thailand to work with Burmese refugee children. (Cliff’s Notes on Burma: Southeast Asia, military dictatorship, human rights abuses, many refugees, also called Myanmar.) Interest for at least one student going on the trip was sparked by her work with Burmese refugees in California’s Linda Vista community.
