Westboro to Picket University of Kentucky Graduation

The notorious Westboro Baptist Church will picket the University of Kentucky’s graduation ceremony, protesting America’s tolerance of gays. For the last 16 years the group has protested at a variety of sites, promoting their own interpretation of the Bible and holding strongly worded signs pronouncing their hatred of homosexuals—offending both homosexuals and Christians (among others). The Westboro Church will be in a designated area during their protest but school officials still worry about the attention they’ll attract. According to a church representative, signs the group will hold include, “America is doomed,” “God hates fags,” and “Thank God for the shooter.”
