What’s in a Name?

The Dartmouth exposes a conflict within sexual assault counseling that may also affect your campus. Namely, women who report sexual assault are only required to provide information they feel comfortable sharing, and all information is confidential. This is, of course, for the protection and wellbeing of already traumatized individuals. However, confidentiality clauses and vague descriptions can mean that assailants accused many times over are never charged, and can continue to assault other women in the campus community.
