In the weeks leading up to Tuesday’s Wisconsin primary, students and professors at the University of Wisconsin have become intensely involved in the political happenings on campus thanks to new media outlets. Student voters in particular are taking full advantage of the Internet resources available to them, using Facebook, MySpace, YouTube, and others to engage in the candidates’ campaigns – and the candidates are responding right back. As a result, even in the face of record low temperatures, Wisconsin students continued the trend of record high youth voter turnout.
