The Iraq Action Group at the University of California San Francisco will hold a teach-in to raise awareness of the War in Iraq and its consequences for American soldiers and the Iraqi people. Students from the University of Texas Austin’s Campus Anti-war Movement to End the Occupation (CAMEO) protested outside the campus’s military recruitment office, hoping to have a conversation with recruiters. Instead, they had a conversation with an Iraq War veteran who disapproved of the group’s message. A similar protest in the same spot a month ago resulted in the arrest of two students, though no one was arrested this time. At Mt. Hood Community College, students held a peace gathering in conjunction with an art show to raise funds for the Potters for Peace organization.
